Music is the perfect antidote for just about everything. We have a playlist for when we’re getting ready, cleaning, cooking, and crying. I like to think when we are going through a hard time music is the one thing we turn to for solace and distraction. At least that’s what I do. After an emotional week, I noticed the music I was playing and found it rather interesting, so I thought I’d share.

Social media isn’t all bad. Over the years with the growth of the internet social media has been a major asset in terms of business, networking, promoting, content marketing, and/or branding. There are even job roles that center on it.

I’m not big on social media. There is something about sharing yourself online that I’m not particularly fond of. I don’t want to share my life online nor do I want to follow other people who excessively do so.
Beware of the Creeps
My friend recently put me on to the show Master of None. I know I’m very late to the party as it aired over a year ago but I have to write about one episode in particular. While I find each episode relatable not just to me but most working millennials, episode 7 “Ladies and Gentleman” was one that really resonated with me.
There’s A lot Going On..
A few months ago I listened to Vic Mensa’s EP There Is A lot Going On and felt almost excited about rap again. The rap I favor to listen is one that moves you. By moves you I do not mean dabbing or whatever else the kids are doing these days. But I mean rap that hits an emotional nerve. It’s the kind of rap that speaks on hardships or heartbreak, injustice and pain. Its brutal honesty strikes a chord even if it’s not personally relatable.
